About alpaca fibre
What is alpaca fibre?
Alpaca fibre is the fleece of the alpaca, known for being soft, warm, durable and lightweight. The fibre contains no lanolin, making it a good choice for many people who react to regular wool.
Are alpaca products itchy?
Many people who cannot tolerate regular wool find alpaca fibre comfortable to wear. No textiles can be guaranteed to be completely allergen-free, but alpaca fibre contains no lanolin, which is often associated with reactions to wool.
Is alpaca warmer than wool?
Yes, alpaca fibre has excellent insulating properties and provides a lot of warmth for its weight. At the same time, the fibre is breathable and helps regulate body temperature. People with rheumatism and others who need heat therapy report good results with alpaca. Several studies have attempted to document the effect, and one laboratory study showed 30% better results with alpaca compared with sheep's wool
Do alpaca products pill?
Some pilling is normal with natural fibres, especially at the beginning of use. This does not affect the quality and can easily be removed with a de-pilling comb or by hand.

Yes, colours may look slightly different depending on screen settings and lighting conditions
Are the products made from 100% alpaca?
This varies between products. Socks contain some synthetic material for added strength. Otherwise, most products are pure alpaca. The material content is listed in each product description.

Washing and care
How do I wash alpaca garments?
We recommend hand washing or using the wool cycle, following the care instructions on the product. Use detergent designed for wool. Alpaca contains sulphur, which has antibacterial properties. We recommend airing garments and washing them as little as possible. This also applies to socks!!
Can alpaca products be tumble dried?
Absolutely not! Lay the garment flat to dry to preserve its shape and quality.
How should I store alpaca products?
Store them clean and dry. For long-term storage, we recommend keeping them in an airtight container to protect against moths. You can also place lavender sachets or cedar balls in the drawers alongside wool garments.

Returns and complaints
Can I return an item?
Yes, you have the right to cancel your purchase under Norwegian law. The item must be returned in its original condition
How long do I have to cancel my purchase?
You have 14 days from receiving the item to cancel your purchase, in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act.
Do I have to pay for return shipping?
Return costs are subject to the terms stated on the website and in the terms and conditions of purchase. The customer pays for return shipping.
